Members of Poland's special operations unit GROM have been deployed to the border with Russia's Kaliningrad region to participate in a police operation aimed at preventing acts of sabotage, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced. "We have decided to deploy significant police, border and counter-terrorism forces in the region," he said. Tusk noted that the decision resulted from reports by Polish and foreign intelligence agencies according to which "acts of sabotage and provocation" were being planned. However, he provided no evidence to support the claims.
