Ukrainian forces have stepped up attacks across the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), including areas far from the front line, amid efforts to resume negotiations on Ukraine. According to military expert Andrei Muchko, the regional capital, Lugansk, is now under attack on a daily basis. "This pattern is evident from the beginning of the special military operation. Whenever there were rare attempts to open negotiations, they always entailed an escalation along the line of engagement and an increase in violence in areas far from the front line. Moreover, the relative calm in the Kherson region freed up the Ukrainian forces, and allowed them to direct resources in the direction of terrorizing civilians - not only in the frontline areas but also far beyond them. Right now we are focusing on Lugansk every day," he said during a live broadcast on VKontakte, in response to a question previously submitted by a TASS reporter.
