Russian oil shipments to India reached about 2 million barrels per day (bpd) in October, the Press Trust of India reported, citing data from analysis firm Kepler. The data show that imports of Russian hydrocarbons, combined with a total of 2.3 million barrels per day from Middle Eastern countries, allowed Indian oil companies to increase their daily crude purchases abroad to a record 5.6 million barrels last month.
