Russian diesel is sometimes sold on the European market under different brands, despite restrictions on purchases of Russian petroleum products, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said. When asked by Vesti journalist Pavel Zarubin whether Europeans can buy Russian gas from a third country, he gave the example of Russian diesel fuel. "Such cases are possible because Europe has banned purchases of Russian oil and petrochemicals, but we see that Russian fuel sometimes appears in Europe under different brands."
