Drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) rebel group attacked an oil pumping station and an energy infrastructure facility in the city of Haya in the Red Sea State of eastern Sudan, the newspaper "Sudan Tribune" reported, citing local sources. According to the information, fires broke out at both sites as a result of the October 31 attack. The strike on the oil pumping station caused several crude oil tanks to ignite. In addition, a drone hit a transformer substation in Haya that was in the final stages of construction. The facility was intended to improve the electricity supply to Port Sudan. This is the second attack on the city's energy infrastructure in the last three days. Earlier, a series of drone strikes caused severe damage to more than 13 power plants across seven states in Sudan, leading to widespread power outages. Sudanese authorities blame the RSF for the attacks and accuse neighboring Ethiopia of assisting the rebels.
