The United Nations Referendum Mission in Western Sahara (MINURSO) will end in the next three months, a Moroccan diplomatic source informed our agency. "The UN Secretariat gave the head of the dissolution committee, the Russian citizen Alexander Ivanko, who headed MINURSO, a period of three months to close the mission," he noted. According to the interlocutor, Morocco offered guarantees that it would cooperate fully so that the mission, whose decision to extend its mandate was not approved, would finish its work within the set deadline.
