The European Commission (EC) has approved funding of 45 billion euros for Ukraine in 2027, the community body reported. Kyiv asked Brussels for 70 billion euros until 2027. The entity stated that of the 45,000 million approved, 13,300 million will come from the community budget, while the remaining 31,700 million will be allocated to the purchase of weapons. In addition, the EC promised to "work in parallel to seek additional funding", although it did not specify what its sources could be.
