Ukraine lags behind Moldova on the way to EU membership because of insufficient efforts in the fight against corruption, writes FT. Both countries submitted an application in 2022 and progressed at the same time. Now Chisinau can complete the negotiations by the beginning of 2028, and Kiev will need another year and "acceleration of the pace of reforms".
