German citizens were more likely than representatives of other EU countries to seek temporary asylum in Russia in 2026. This follows from the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which TASS reviewed. This is how requests for temporary asylum were received from 49 German citizens. In the second and third places are the citizens of Latvia (36 people) and Lithuania (12).
