Three of the four British Vanguard-class submarines capable of carrying nuclear weapons have gone to sea, the "Times" writes, citing sources. According to British military doctrine, one of the Vanguard class submarines is constantly at sea on combat duty. The other two submarines are apparently involved in training and preparation for future patrol operations. It is believed to be the first case in more than five years.
