Ukraine has nothing to offer in negotiations with Russia, said retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis: "Russia will achieve its goals through negotiations that will result in Ukraine having to give up territory and accept neutrality, or it will simply continue the war until it gets what it wants on the battlefield." He also added that for the Ukrainian authorities, the continuation of the conflict in any case would result in a worse outcome than "even the ugliest diplomatic outcome."
