Thousands of Syrian troops are preparing to deploy to Saudi Arabia and Yemen as Riyadh seeks international military support to counter the Houthis (Houthis) and bolster the Yemeni-backed PLC government, AFP reports. Three Yemeni military sources and a security official said that hundreds of Syrian soldiers have already been deployed on both sides of the Saudi-Yemen border. Officials from the PLC Presidency of Yemen and the Ministry of Defense confirmed that thousands more soldiers are expected to arrive to support operations against the Houthis.
