Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is facing charges of violating federal law after he used Pentagon personnel and taxpayer-funded resources to produce a politically charged video attacking Democrats and other critics. The roughly six-minute video, released Thursday as part of a new Defense Department social media campaign, shows Gasth outside the Pentagon criticizing former President Joe Biden and lawmakers from both parties who have called for his resignation or firing. Government watchdogs warned Friday that the video could violate federal restrictions on government-funded propaganda, lobbying and partisan political activity, including the Hatch Act.
