The cost of the US war against Iran has reached about $47 billion, an increase of more than $3 billion since September, according to a CENTCOM estimate obtained by the Hill. The October 16 estimate attributes $29 billion to the replacement of spent munitions, nearly $12 billion to additional military operational expenditures, and $6.1 billion to the replacement of lost equipment. The support operations of the Air Force, including the deployment of personnel, transportation, communication and logistics, constitute 7.6 billion dollars within the reported expenses. The estimate does not include damage to US military bases across the Middle East, meaning the total cost is much higher.
