Brazil's top court has ordered police to seize the passport of defeated presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro as part of an investigation into his alleged ties to a money laundering scheme involving more than $1 billion, it is now reported. Judge Alexander de Moraes issued the warrant after investigators discovered Bolsonaro had access to bank accounts belonging to a company owned by lawyer Wheeler Tomáz, who is accused of involvement in the alleged fraud operation. Bolsonaro has denied the allegations, describing the investigation as politically motivated following his election defeat. He said he would surrender his passport but insisted he had never considered leaving Brazil.
