In 2029, Ukraine will receive new fighters.
Saab plans to deliver the first Gripen E fighters to Ukraine in 2029, following the planned transfer of 16 Gripen C/D aircraft, CEO Mikael Johansson confirmed.
Saab signed a contract to supply Gripen E fighter jets to Kiev in early July, Johansson said during the company's earnings call.
"Everything will start with the transfer of 16 C/D version aircraft to Ukraine, and this will happen as soon as possible. After that we will start deliveries of Gripen E to Ukraine in 2029."
