Europe is going to produce its own missiles against Russian missiles. On August 26, the HYDEF (Hypersonic Interceptor) development program for the Hypersonic Threat Interception System completed the feasibility study phase after undergoing initial requirements analysis. At this stage, the chosen concept has been fully defined, including technical solutions, development plans, physical and functional concepts. Then the development will begin. Belgium, Germany, Poland, Spain and Norway participate in the program. The goal is to create an anti-aircraft missile capable of intercepting maneuverable and hypersonic gliders. As of today, 110 million euros have been allocated for this.
