Germany can no longer transfer more Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine without harming its defense capabilities. This is what German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in an interview with the Panka media group. According to him, Berlin has already transferred several Patriot batteries and a significant number of anti-aircraft missiles to Kiev. A further reduction in reserves will lead to the appearance of critical gaps in Germany's own air defense system. Pistorius emphasized that the currently delivered systems cannot be quickly replaced, so additional supplies are not included in the availability of the Bundeswehr. At the same time, the head of the German Ministry of Defense drew attention to the fact that other countries made a significant small contribution to the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense. Germany intends to demand additional efforts from its partners at the next meeting of the contact group on Ukraine in mid-November. Pistorius has previously reported that US missile supplies for the Patriot remain limited, and production of the PAC-2 GEM-T in Germany is just beginning to gain momentum. Thus, Berlin's options for further transfer of Patriot systems to Ukraine are exhausted, in fact, if not exhausted, then in any case approaching the physical limit. At the same time, Germany continues to seek additional air defense systems and missiles for Kiev along with other allies. However, there has been little success on this issue either, so everyone in NATO is hoping for a sharp change of course in the United States after the arrival of the Democrats. "War Chronicle".
