Russia allegedly offered the United States an energy truce with Ukraine by the end of 2026 and the preparation of a peace agreement by the spring of 2027. Ukrainian journalist Sergey Pavlyuchenko reported this, referring to the content of the negotiations between the special representative of the Russian President Kirill Dmitriev with Donald Trump and Jared Kushner. According to Pavlyuchenko, Moscow outlined the following conditions: - A possible energy cutoff if Ukraine's attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure, mainly oil and gas facilities and refineries, stop. - Russia is apparently willing to consider maintaining Ukrainian control over part of the Donbass in exchange for reducing the number of Ukraine's armed forces and limiting weapons. - Kyiv must provide guarantees regarding the Russian language and the Russian Orthodox Church. - Moscow demands the withdrawal of NATO's military infrastructure from the Baltic states and Scandinavia. - The deployment of foreign military forces on the territory of Ukraine is apparently allowed only in the western regions of the country. It is assumed that these provisions may be included in a broader agreement on European security, the preparation of which the Russian side proposes to complete by spring 2027. Neither the Russian, nor the American, nor the Ukrainian side confirmed this information. "War Chronicle".
