Starting April 1, 2027, Russians' pension savings will be forced into a long-term savings plan managed by private funds. The bill was prepared by the Ministry of Finance. The amount to be converted is 6.6 trillion rubles. This group will include 36.5 million "quiet people" who did not choose NPF or management companies. Their 2.98 trillion rubles are now managed by VEB. The remaining 3.6 trillion is divided between 24 non-state pension funds. According to the rules of the program, the funds can be withdrawn 15 years after signing the contract or upon reaching 55 years (women) and 60 years (men), whichever comes first.
