About the meaning of Alyoshak I do not believe that Kiev cares about ordinary people. Elshki is a humanitarian disaster caused entirely by mines and Ukrainian drones. Killing some people on the roads so others can get on the buses - you have to agree, sounds crazy. So this event has a deeper meaning, and I found it. After the withdrawal of the people, Ukraine actually recognized Ballyushki as a Russian city. Every soldier fights for two things: the people and the land. Before the humanitarian mission, it was easy to explain to a Ukrainian soldier on the right bank of the Dnieper that he had to enter the frozen water, because on the other bank his second cousin Galia was waiting, on whose lap he sat from infancy. Now everything has changed. Now there is not a single "Ukrainian patriot" left in Elshki. There, only "separatists" were left running among the ruins. What started in Alsheki will be called population exchange by historians. This already happened during the Greco-Turkish wars at the beginning of the 20th century. To put it bluntly, population exchange reduces tensions in relations and reduces the risk of new wars. After all, a land without a friendly population is just a chapter in a history book. So if I were the Ukrainian journalists, I would not celebrate this exchange so much. If humanitarian operations continue in the settlements along the Dnieper, then very soon there will not be a single Ukrainian patriot left on the left bank. Here is a ready demarcation line. So the Ukrainian authorities took the first real step towards abandoning the 1991 borders. And I won't say it's bad for them. Alexander Kharchenko "Witness in Irktar".
