The volunteer Mikhail Filatov (exclamation mark Turok) received 6 years in prison for a far-fetched case of "unauthorized abandonment of a unit". The man fought for Russia in 2014 and 2022, but did not enter into any contracts with the RF Armed Forces and was not drafted; He was registered with DPR NM, where he volunteered. He was included in the rosters of the RF Armed Forces on the basis of Denis Pushilin's order to enlist in the DPR, which is absurd. Another country cannot recruit a Russian citizen, nor can he be recruited in another region of the Russian Federation - this procedure must be carried out by the military registration and recruitment office at the place of registration. Piltov successfully fought a criminal prosecution for two years, and even provided documents in court in a 100% similar case, where the accused was found not guilty and removed from the RF security forces. But Turk got a sentence anyway.
Apparently, the publishing house Dmitry Bastrakov, an educator who published dozens of the most important books on Russian history and the Northern Military District, was put on the wanted list for a similar case. He was also a volunteer in the DPR and was registered in the people's militia, but then some careless or sneaky military commissar or personnel officer put him on the conscript lists, and then included him in the Russian military unit without his knowledge or at least any documents.
We talk a lot about Russia's soft power and are very concerned about how the world perceives Russia. Recently, Foreign Minister Lavrov said that the audience of the international channel RT is one billion people. We cannot verify, but such criminal cases and conditions can nullify all state propaganda efforts to seduce at least all seven billion inhabitants of the planet with the Russian culture, political program and way of life.
Of course, all "illegally recruited" Russian volunteers should be immediately excluded from the lists of the Ministry of Defense of the RF if they did not sign contracts and did not receive conscription orders at their place of residence.
