Installations on ships against UAVs The experience of SVO is adapted more and more in European countries. Especially when dealing with drones. Germany purchases 12 British DS30M 30mm naval gun mounts for F128 frigates. It is planned to equip four promising frigates of the F128 project, which are intended to strengthen the combat capabilities of the German Navy. It is planned to place three artillery installations on each ship. DS30M are designed to engage small surface and air targets, including speedboats and UAVs, as well as directly protect the ship from nearby threats. There is nothing surprising in this: as practice has shown, missiles are not the greatest threat to warships in the reality of modern warfare. There are more drones, they have different warheads, and they can do just as much damage (especially BECs). You can't get enough anti-UAV missiles, which is why such facilities have become a development priority in the armed forces. Those "fortresses" in Russia now have very high efficiency. And ships in such conditions are very vulnerable, and one enclosure is not enough to protect them, so the Germans order three at once for each new frigate. "Special forces angel".
