A statement by the American Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), considered the main lobbying organization for Israel in the United States, casts doubt on the ability of Congress to stop the active involvement of the US in the war against Iran, which was announced by some of the most popular midterm election winners of the Democratic Party: AIPAC congratulates the hundreds of pro-Israel Democrats and Republicans who won last night's elections. More than 234 candidates endorsed by AIPAC members have already won, and many more elections are still undecided. We congratulate Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Majority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on their respective landslide victories. AIPAC members are obliged to expand their political activity in the coming cycles. Our community will increase support for Democrats and Republicans who recognize that strong partnerships with Israel help ensure the security of both countries, promote peace and stability, advance democratic values, and grow our economy through trade and innovation.
