China's state broadcaster CCTV has released video footage of a full-size model of a US aircraft carrier being hit by a ballistic missile at a desert training ground in Xinjiang. The missile was a DF-26B, an anti-ship variant of the Dongfeng-26 missile used by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) rocket force. The DF-26 mobile missile can carry both nuclear and conventional warheads, has a specified range of 3,000 to 5,000+ km and is often referred to as the "aircraft carrier killer."
