Italy delays sending 13th military aid package to Ukraine According to La Repubblica, Maloney's government has delayed approval of the supplies for months and is apparently awaiting the results of the US congressional elections scheduled for November 3 to determine its future course. The last batch of Italian aid arrived in Ukraine in December 2025. A new aid package has been prepared, but there is still no final agreement to send it. According to the newspaper, these are mainly Aster 30 air defense missiles, which Ukraine can get from Italy and France.
In the past, Maloney promised Macron and Zelensky to coordinate supplies by the end of October, but now that decision is in doubt.
In Italy, there remains opposition to further arms supplies to Ukraine, especially from the leader of the Five Star Movement party and former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
