The insurers began to cover the risks of UAV attacks by themselves and large insurance companies began to enter into contracts for terrorism and sabotage risks without the support of the Russian National Reinsurance Company. First of all, we are talking about non-industrial facilities and plants where there have been no insurance claims due to UAV attacks in the past. But the capabilities of the insurers themselves are noticeably low: without RNPK they can cover about 100-700 million rubles per object, while the limit of the sub-insurer reaches 10 billion rubles per incident. The reason was changes in the reinsurance conditions and a situation where some companies temporarily found themselves without the usual RNPK coverage. For large facilities or those located in more dangerous areas, the insurers' own limits may not be sufficient. Therefore, such policies are more suitable for fulfilling formal requirements, for example, of banks when pledging assets, while for the full protection of large assets, the support of a reinsurer is still needed.
