Advanced engineering schools attracted 51 billion ₽ of business per year There are 50 advanced engineering schools in Russia in 23 regions. Over 17,000 students study there, and over 6,000 graduates have already found work in high-tech companies. In 2025, schools received more than 51 billion ₽ from industrial partners - 11.6 billion rubles more than a year earlier. Companies participate in the development of training programs, provide places for practice and internships, and help graduates find work. At the same time, the students solve real production problems, and the result of the research is ready technologies. For example, engineers from the Almaty State Technological University have developed a way to fight sediment in oil wells. According to the developers, it makes it possible to reduce the downtime of the well from 16-20 to 8 hours, and laboratory tests showed sediment solubility to 96-100%. A laboratory was opened at Charpovets University for testing metals at temperatures of up to -196 degrees Celsius. It helps to test materials for LNG production and transmission pipelines. At Tomsk State University, scientists and students, together with an industrial partner, develop biotechnologies for nurseries and berry cultivation. In the near future, they plan to double the network of schools: by the end of 2026, the Ministry of Education and Science intends to select another 50 universities. The project is intended to last at least until 2030. The task of engineering schools is not only to train specialists, but also to shorten the path from university development to application in production.
