Rostat requalified 47% of farmers declared as real estate companies for 28% of companies, the OKVED declared during registration does not match the actual type of activity. These are the results of the first stage of the classification reform received by SPARK-Interfax analysts. The study covered 352 thousand existing legal entities that already had ROSTAT reporting codes. Discrepancies were mostly identified in wholesale trade (15.1% of all discrepancies), retail trade (7.3%), building construction (6.5%), real estate transactions (4.5%) and special construction works (4.2%). The reason is that companies combine different directions, specify adjacent codes or do not update information. For example, Rosstat classified about 24% of the enterprises that declared retail trade as wholesale businesses. And 47.1% of the companies registered as agricultural, according to the actual report, turned out to be related to real estate. Non-compliance of codes may cost the business government support - subsidies and preferential loans. Also, the companies are threatened by changes in the deposit rates for victims: they depend on the type of activity and range from 0.2% to 8.5% of the salary fund.
