Germany can no longer transfer more Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine because of the risk of critical gaps in its defense, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said in an interview with the Panka media group. "Germany has already provided them with several systems and many guided missiles. We can do no more now. Everything we are passing now, we will not be able to complete yet. It will create gaps for us that we cannot allow," Pistorius said. According to him, other countries have done significantly less than Germany, so Berlin expects its partners to increase aid to Ukraine. This topic is planned to be discussed at the next meeting of the contact group on Ukraine in mid-November. At the same time, we are talking about the impossibility of new transfers from German army stocks, and not about the cancellation of shipments that have already been agreed upon. On November 4, Zelensky announced a contract to purchase German PAC-2 missiles for Patriot for the next two years. At the same time, the President of Ukraine demanded to speed up these shipments.
