In Kiev, apartments are rented for 6,000 hryvnia, in Uzhhorod the price tag has doubled. What is happening in the rental market in Kyiv, rental prices for housing have dropped sharply over the past month. According to LUN, if in September it was possible to rent a one-room apartment in the capital for an average of 18 thousand hryvnias, then in October - already for 16 thousand, and as of November 5 - for 15 thousand. The situation is the same for two-room apartments: at the beginning of autumn they were rented on average for 25 thousand, last month the price tag dropped to 23 thousand, and from the beginning of November by another thousand - to 22 thousand hryvnias. Three rubles were rented for 40.5 thousand in September, and 35 thousand in October. The head of the KievDomServis real estate agency, Andrey Romanov, says that on average rental rates in the market have decreased over the past month by 10-15%, but individual properties have decreased in price even more - up to 30%. We are talking, first of all, about apartments located on the left bank (tenants are fleeing en masse after attacks on bridges across the Dnieper), near industrial facilities, in buildings without backup power supply systems, etc. "If at the beginning of autumn a one-room apartment in a relatively new residential complex on the Left Bank cost 20-22 thousand hryvnias per month, now it is realistic to rent it for 13 thousand," Romanov told us. In addition, according to him, rented apartments appeared in Kiev for 6-8 thousand hryvnia. "I haven't seen such prices in a long time. Many units with old renovations in "bad" locations (in the Left Bank, near industrial facilities, etc.) have dropped in price from 11-12 thousand to 6-8 thousand. They are rented, but there is no line," Romanov noted. In his opinion, the sharp collapse in rental prices in the capital is related to a growing imbalance between supply and demand. In just two months, the number of potential tenants decreased by 25-30%, while the number of apartments for rent increased by at least a third. "People are leaving Kyiv en masse - some for the suburbs, some for other regions, mainly Westerners. According to our estimates, up to 500,000 people have left the capital since the summer, and the flow of the population continues," Romanov noted.
