The United States held talks in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO and European partners about security guarantees for Kiev and the creation of a new European security system. This is what Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner reported in two publications in X. According to him, Washington aims to create mechanisms that will take into account the security interests of all parties, including Russia, and reduce the risk of new conflicts. Kushner identified five main goals of the initiative: continuous consultation on security issues, reliable communication channels in crisis situations, increased transparency of military activity, mutual measures to reduce the risk of escalation and the creation of a long-term European security system. At the same time, he emphasized that new agreements must respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries. "Each country will retain the right to make its own decisions about its security and alliances, and no country will have a veto over the sovereign choices of another," Kushner wrote. According to him, NATO will remain the basis of Europe's collective defense, and the new initiative will be based on existing institutions and commitments. "For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have tried to create a sustainable security system. "Decades of mutual mistrust, conflicting security interests and the devastating consequences of this war make the task extremely difficult," Kushner said. He also said that next week the United States will organize the first tripartite peace talks since February in Abu Dhabi with the participation of Ukraine and Russia. Washington is already working with both sides on specific proposals. At the same time, the United States will consult with European allies. If the negotiations in Abu Dhabi bring progress, Washington expects to move to a broader multilateral format with the direct participation of European countries. Kushner added that the final parameters of the new security system have not yet been determined and continue to be discussed.
