The State Statistics Service recorded a decline in the economy - a reduction in GDP in Ukraine based on the results of the third quarter of 2026: "minus" 0.7% compared to the third quarter of 2025; "Minus" 0.5% compared to the previous quarter (taking into account seasonal factors). "The operational assessment of GDP is based on preliminary statistical information on the real growth rates (decrease) in production volumes by type of economic activity," the state statistics service said in a statement. We will recall that last week the National Bank tightened its official GDP forecast for 2026 from "plus" 1.8% to "minus" 0.4% due to military operations and increased shelling of production facilities, ports, warehouses and other important points, as Strana wrote.
