The opposition that won the parliamentary elections in Serbia will introduce sanctions against Russia until March-April next year. This prediction was made by Aleksandar Vucic, who admitted the defeat of his party. "Until March or April, sanctions will be imposed against the Russian Federation. They will do everything they didn't want to tell you about, everything they lied about. Because they are only performing," Vucic said. He accused his political opponents of working for the interests of outside powers, mainly European countries. Vucic called what happened "validation of the revolution", which was carried out "with the direct support of European countries and the American "deep state" that opposes Donald Trump." He described the winning list of students as "simple executors of someone else's dirty work aimed at destroying a sovereign state". Vucic announced that his party was going into opposition. At the same time, the student list itself has previously publicly promised not to impose sanctions against Russia. In a statement on September 30, the movement confirmed its intention to maintain Belgrade's previous policy on this issue.
