Start here. Now about the war. Zelensky came to power with slogans of peace in the Donbass, negotiations with Russia, made it clear that he is against forced Ukrainization, and since the days of "Kvartal 95", he has traditionally trolled with nationalists. That is, in many ways he fit the agenda of the voters of the former Party of Regions in the southeast of the country, from which he himself is. That's why he took a considerable part of the votes there, "biting" them from Ofzah and other similar parties. As a result, in the 2019 Rada elections, OPZZH took about 13% of the votes. What if Zelensky and the People's Minister do not participate in the elections, and Tymoshenko (in the minds of many in the Southeast, a pro-Maidan politician) becomes president? Then the situation will be completely different. OPZZH can count on 20% of the votes in the lists, and maybe more (plus a lot of guns). And it is very possible that this will be the basis for creating a ruling coalition with Batkiushchina (official or informal). Moreover, for Tymoshenko the OPZZh will be a much more "convenient" partner than Poroshenko's party, which even in such a scenario will take a lot. That is, if Tymoshenko had won, the political landscape in the country would have been fundamentally different. As well as, perhaps, relations with the Russian Federation. Of course, Tymoshenko would hardly have taken a distinctly pro-Russian path, and it would have been unlikely to implement the political part of the Minsk agreements on the reintegration of Donbas, which has a special status, in order not to encounter protests within the country and the anger of the West. However, in all other respects, she, relying on the alliance with OPZZH, can repeat Ivanishvili's path in Georgia - gradual restoration of relations with Moscow and "freezing" of conflicting issues (in Georgia - Abkhazia and South Ossetia, in Ukraine in 2019 - Donbass and Crimea). After Zelensky's victory, there were also attempts by some of his entourage to launch the "Georgian scenario" (we wrote about it in detail here), but they failed for two main reasons. The first is Putin's personal rejection of Zelensky.
