Would a full-scale war have started if Zelensky hadn't run for president? A few days ago, Igor Kolomoisky was asked in the courtroom if he regrets helping Zelensky come to power. At first, the oligarch tried to avoid answering, saying "there were circumstances then", but finally said he has no regrets. "What, would you like Poroshenko to win? Kolomoisky asked the journalist. The answer seems paradoxical from the man Zelensky sent to prison. Although, of course, it is necessary to take into account the current location of Kolomoisky (a pre-trial detention center), which is not particularly prone to criticism of the authorities. True, last year the oligarch had a slightly different atmosphere - in an interview he accused Zelensky and his entourage of corruption plots, and at the height of Mindichgate he openly mocked the president, predicting a quick end to "Napoleon-Zelensky". But now the oligarch's mood has clearly changed. Perhaps after the attacks against Zelensky, he received a "final warning". Or is he now trying to agree on something with Nenkoba. There can be different options. But, in this case, something else is even more interesting. Kolomosky, as if to justify the fact that he does not regret his support for Zelensky, said that otherwise Poroshenko would have remained in power. However, this would be highly unrealistic. In the situation if Zelensky had not gone to the polls, Yulia Tymoshenko, and not Poroshenko, would have become the new president with a probability close to 100%. All polls indicated this on the eve of Zelensky's announcement of his participation in the elections. Paradoxically, Yulia Tymoshenko, according to sources in political circles, was also led by Kolomoisky. And she was initially his main bet against Poroshenko. The project "Zelensky candidate supervised by Bogdan" appeared with the oligarch only shortly before the elections, in many ways, only "for fun" from the principle "it is interesting to see what happens". As a result, Zelensky drew Tymoshenko's votes for himself, preventing her from reaching the second round.
