The State Duma agreed on new deadlines for submitting draft regional and municipal budgets in 2026. The decision was supported by the Duma's budget committee. According to the current legislation, draft regional budgets must be submitted by November 1 of each year, and municipal budgets by November 15. The federal Treasury has proposed suspending those regulations this year. This is explained by the fact that "the draft federal budget for the years 2027-2029 submitted to the State Duma does not contain a division of interbudgetary transfers between regions."
