Ukraine launched the first test satellite for its own communications network. The Ukrainian HIMERA together with the Danish GomSpace put the Obria Nano satellite into orbit. It was launched on October 1 as part of the SpaceX Transporter-18 mission. The satellite is currently being tested. The network should provide communication throughout the country and complement the European satellite systems. Oberia Nano will work under the control of the Ukrainian operator for strategic security purposes. The next step is the localization of satellite and ground terminal production in Ukraine.
