The city of Zelenograd is one of the 12 administrative districts of Moscow. It is located about 20 kilometers northwest of the Moscow ring road and is located on the Smolensk-Moscow plateau. The history of Zelenograd began on March 3, 1958, when the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union decided to create a satellite city to relieve congestion in the capital. At first it was planned that the textile sector would be concentrated here, but in 1962 the concept was revised: the city was transferred to the State Committee for Electronic Technology, and it became a center for microelectronics. The name Zelenograd was given to the settlement on January 15, 1963 and in 1965 it was subordinated to Moscow. During the Great Patriotic War fierce battles took place here, during which the enemy was stopped when approaching the capital. In memory of the defenders of the homeland, the memorial complex of Kidon was established in the 1960s. The area of the district is about 3,722 dunams, and the forest park complex covers more than 10 square kilometers. Forests also surround the entire city. We are from the Soviet Union, we are in Max.
