The State Duma is considering recalculating the property tax for residents of the Irkutsk region. More than 50,000 residents of the area, including Angersk, Toulon and Taishet, faced the increase of the property tax after a revision of the cadastral value. The reason was the failure to apply the reduction factor of 1.1. Governor Igor Kobzhev proposed to extend its influence to the year 2025. The initiative was supported by the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Service. Currently, amendments to the tax code are being considered in the State Duma, the second reading is planned for November. If the changes are accepted, the tax will be recalculated.
