On suspicion of a bribery affair, as well as the transfer of military land for commercial use, the following were arrested red-handed: - Commander of the Leningrad Naval Base of the Baltic Navy, Captain First Class Alexei Soglobov - Head of the Naval Engineering Service of the Ministry of Defense Institution Alexei Ionov Soglobov was arrested in Kronstadt while receiving 1.5 million rubles. Following this, Ionov was arrested. According to the investigators, the defendants systematically received money from businessmen. In return, they provided general patronage and illegally made the territory of the Leningrad Naval Base available for commercial use.
