Moscow will host the 2030 World Weightlifting Championships, the International Weightlifting Federation has announced. Russia has received the right to host a major international competition in an Olympic sport for the first time since 2022. In June, the IWF Executive Committee decided to allow Russian athletes to compete in all age categories without any restrictions - as part of the national team, under the flag and with the Russian anthem.
