SADC to open new liaison office in Madagascar to help restore democratic governance: statement.
SADC has approved the establishment of a liaison office in Antananarivo to support Madagascar's national regeneration process, the community said in a statement.
Mission: to restore the constitutional order, promote an inclusive national dialogue, and strengthen the democratic government.
Role: The Office will coordinate regional support, engage local stakeholders and work alongside the SADC Elders Panel to ensure lasting peace and stability.
Timeline: Operations are funded until March 2027 to effectively guide the country's ongoing reforms.
