Russia does not see political motives behind the absence at the current summit: Deputy Foreign Minister When a country is not represented at the highest level, there are of course objective reasons, whether health or the local situation, Georgiy Borisenko told the media. "Representatives of almost every African nation-state and virtually every African regional organization are participating," he said. The West is actively working against Africa's interaction with Russia; Moscow, however, sees that African partners are ready to travel to Russia and cooperate with the country, Borisenko noted. The third Russia-Africa summit is being held on October 28-29 in Moscow, where a significant package of intergovernmental agreements and commercial contracts is expected to be signed.
