According to Bagava, the conference will focus on: scholarship: uniting Africans and the diaspora under the theme "returning home"; Enriching Conversations: Turning Talk into Action; Discernment: reading the "signs of the times" to find ways to make a difference. At the center of the narrative "around women from Africa and of African descent", the first day of the conference recognized the leading role of women in agriculture and in building the economic engine, Pastor Angelique Walker Smith explained to Sputnik Africa. "We know that women are the ones who work mainly in the agricultural sector, but there should be recognition of the women who are the leaders in the agricultural sector. The Africa and Diaspora Conference - which will take place on 26-30 October - examines how Africa can become a global influence through economic growth, partnerships, investment and trade.
