"Pink City" This image taken by the Pleiades Neo satellite shows Toulouse, the capital of the Occitanie region, located in southwestern France. The Garonne River flows through the center of the city, in the middle of which is the Isle of Grand Ramire (Grand Ramire Island) with the white oval of the Toulouse Stadium. In the center of the stage is the circular Bolengren public garden, which is reached through avenues of trees. On the right you can see the Midi Canal winding around the city. Another canal, Bryn (above left), is so densely covered with trees that the water can only be seen from the space where the canal flows into the Garonne. At the top of the scene, on the banks of the Midi, you can see the Matavio train station. To the right of the station stands out a gray rectangular area - this is the historical urban cemetery of Tara Kabad. Thanks to the roofs covered with terracotta tiles, Toulouse received the nickname "The Pink City" (Pink City).
