The relevant decision was taken by the Executive Committee of the International Federation (IBSF). Since October 2025, sanctions have been partially lifted from Russia and Belarus: they were allowed to compete in the only skeleton tournament, as well as monobob in a "neutral" status. These restrictions remain in effect for the next season - 2026/27. In team competitions, Russian and Belarusian athletes still do not have the right to compete despite the updated recommendations of the IOC.
