Russian and Belarusian athletes will continue to compete in bobsled and skeleton in "neutral" status. The relevant decision was taken by the Executive Committee of the International Federation (IBSF). Since October 2025, sanctions have been partially lifted from Russia and Belarus: they were allowed to compete in the only skeleton tournament, as well as monobob in a "neutral" status. These restrictions remain in effect for the next season - 2026/27. In team competitions, Russian and Belarusian athletes still do not have the right to compete despite the updated recommendations of the IOC.
