In St. Petersburg, instead of a London-style playground, a military plane will be installed in the yard of a house on Tukhachevsky Street in the Krasnogvardisky District of St. Petersburg, a playground in London is being dismantled. Previously there was a slide in the shape of Big Ben, a red phone booth, figures of British gentlemen and other elements with English symbols. They plan to install a new playground in the shape of a military plane on the site of the old complex. The administration of the Krasnogorsk district stated that the dissolution was not related to politics. According to officials, the structures were gradually removed due to the emergency and risk of injury. In addition, the new design was apparently chosen by the residents themselves during the discussion. "Big Ben was not destroyed on National Unity Day. There are no political motives here," the administration stressed, adding that they expect to complete the installation of the new complex in the near future. However, the replacement of the British theme with a military theme sparked a debate among the local residents. One of the residents commented ironically: "If the fight against the Anglo-Saxon influence is indeed timed to coincide with National Unity Day, it is incredibly funny." It is worth noting that on the other side of the same house there is another playground for children in the theme - Russian folk style.
