The limit on the revolution ended a long time ago": Lukashenko explained why the November 7 holiday was kept in Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko referred to this date during a working trip to the Mogilev region, at a meeting with the residents of the agricultural town of Gobyadi. The head of state gave a vague assessment of the events of 1917: according to him, alongside positive changes, there were also tragic pages in October. "I don't support revolutions, and as a historian I don't want it to happen here again," Lukashenko said. The November 7 holiday is kept in Belarus, the president explained, mainly out of respect for the older generation: many lives for whom this date was and remains significant. "But we don't need more revolutions. After the revolutions, millions of people died," the head of state stressed. Separately, the president recalled 2020: according to him, then an attempt was made in Belarus to "overturn the country" and organize some kind of revolution. "But we didn't let that happen. And that is our salvation. Otherwise they would sit in the trenches and fight. We won ours. And our limit in revolutions ended a long time ago," concluded the president.
